Antioch's Outreach Ministry - "Serve the 'Ree"
Antioch has just begun a new Outreach Ministry with Veronica Owens as Outreach Director. They're calling it "SERVE THE 'REE." Their first project that began it all was "Serve the "Ree" where Antioch and Enoree Free Will partnered to give out free diapers, baby wipes, etc. along with free hotdogs at the Dollar General in Enoree. Then Antioch had the Outreach Yard Sale at Antioch where clothes were given out free, with other items being sold for donations.
Their June projects included their first assigned date of "Adopt a Highway" where they cleaned up a two mile stretch of Highway 221 in Enoree. They also served breakfast sandwiches and drinks to the employees of Henkel Corporation in Enoree two mornings of June. In August, they provided breakfast to those coming to the Woodruff Soup Kitchen. Also, as outreach to our students, the church family financially supported the Woodruff High Marching Cadets and in September, the Woodruff High Fishing Team as sponsors. And there second assigned date for "Adopt a Highway" was completed.
Coming up in November will be a Food Collection for the Woodruff Soup Kitchen with a contest among the fans of the Clemson Tigers, the SC Gamecocks, and Other Teams.
